NEWS: Thriller Live Celebrates Michael Jackson’s 60th Birthday With Open Air Bus Performance

Taking in many of the sites of London, the open air bus performance saw cast members from Thriller Live performing classic Michael Jackson songs.

Marking what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday, cast members including Haydon Eshun, Vivienne Ekwulugo, David Julien, David Devyne and Ebony Clarke took to the rooftop of the Thriller Live bus to entertain people across central London with performances of some of the songs used in the show.

On its journey across London, the Thriller Live bus went past iconic landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, the London Eye and Parliament Square entertaining people along the way with performances of songs such as ‘Man in the Mirror’ and ‘Black or White’.

Now in its 10th year in the West End, Thriller Live will mark its 4,000th performance at the Lyric Theatre with a gala performance in aid of The Prince’s Trust on Wednesday 12th September.

The evening will be hosted by Jon Culshaw and Russell Kane with more guests to be announced soon. All of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to The Prince’s Trust and the gala will also help to launch a year-long partnership and commitment to provide tickets, workshops and a mentoring programme.

Thriller Live is directed by Gary Lloyd and created by Michael Jackson author and associate Adrian Grant. It first appeared at the Lyric Theatre in January 2009 and is currently the 6th longest running musical currently playing in the West End.

The cast for the production includes Haydon Eshun who has performed in (as of last week) 3,102 performances of the show, Vivienne Ekwululo, David Julien and Michael Jackson dancer and singer David Devyne.
