The full cast for the West End transfer of Angus Jackson’s production of Don Quixote has been confirmed ahead of it opening at the Garrick Theatre from the 27th October.
The cast is led by Rufus Hound and David Threlfall, who will be reprising their roles as Sancho Panza and Don Quixote from the show’s previous run at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in spring 2016.
They will be joined on stage by Will Bliss, Raphael Bushay, Farrell Cox, John Cummins, Richard Dempsey, Ruth Everett, Gabriel Fleary, Richard Leeming, Nicholas Lumley, Natasha Magigi, Tom McCall, Joshua McCord, Bathsheba Piepe, Rosa Robson, Timothy Speyer and Eleanor Wyld.
Adapted from Cervantes’ novel by James Fenton, Don Quixote is a comical story that follows Don Quixote on a journey across medieval Spain, to defend the helpless and vanquishing the wicked accompanied by his faithful servant, Sancho Panza.
As well as being directed once again by Angus Jackson, the production is designed by Robert Innes Hopkins, with music composed by Grant Olding, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Fergus O’Hare. The comedy director is Cal McCrystal and fight director is Malcolm Ranson. Puppetry director and designer is Toby Olié. Puppetry co-director is Laura Cubitt.
