Casting has been confirmed for the West End run of Fame the Musical, currently on its UK tour, which will play at the Peacock Theatre from the 11th September 2019.
It has been confirmed that TV star Jorgie Porter, soul legend Mica Paris and theatre star Keith Jack will star in the West End transfer of Fame the Musical when it arrives at the Peacock Theatre from the 11th September 2019.
Based on the 1980 phenomenal pop culture film, Fame The Musical is the international smash hit sensation following the lives of students at New York’s High School For The Performing Arts as they navigate their way through the highs and lows, the romances and the heartbreaks and the ultimate elation of life.
Best known for her role in Hollyoaks, Jorgie Porter is currently playing Iris Kelly in the tour and has been confirmed to remain in this role when the production comes to London. It will be her West End debut.
Talking about the news Jorgie said: “I am having the best time in the UK tour of Fame. I love the show and am so excited to bring this role to London next year for my West End debut.”
Joining her in the London run will be Micha Paris as Miss Sherman and Any Dream Will Do star Keith Jack as Nick Piazza.
Directed and choreographed by Nick Winston, Fame the Musical is presented by Selladoor Productions who have recently toured with of Footloose, Avenue Q, Little Shop of Horrors and Flashdance – The Musical, with Gavin Kalin Productions, Dan Looney & Adam Paulden, Stephen McGill Productions and Jason Haigh-Ellery in association with Big Dreamer Productions/Michael Dahl Rasmussen, BrightLights Productions and Ian Melding.
The production will feature design by Morgan Large and sound design by Ben Harrison, with further casting yet to be announced.
