The critically acclaimed musical which completes its run at the Arts Theatre on the 14th October has announced it will return to the theatre in January for an open ended run.
The musical, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, will return to London in January 2019 following a short UK tour. For the new run, which begins on the 16th January 2019, more than 50,000 seats will go on sale tomorrow and will be booking until the 5th May.
From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of 21st century girl power. These Queens may have green sleeves but their lipstick is rebellious red.
Since arriving in London, the critically acclaimed musical has been nominated for six Off West End Awards, including Best New Musical, Best Musical Production and Best Ensemble.
The production is directed by Lucy Moss & Jamie Armitage and feature choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling and sound design by Paul Gatehouse. It is a co-production between Kenny Wax, Global Musicals and George Stiles.
