It has been announced that the musical will end its second critically acclaimed run at The Other Palace and not open at the Ambassadors Theatre the following week as planned.
In a statement released, producer Kevin Wood revealed that a key investor had pulled out at the last minute due to the wider economic conditions. He said: “The past few days has been spent frantically trying to replace them but time has run out. In the New Year we will take stock and come again. We have spent too much time and money on this project to just let it die.”
Eugenius! The Musical, featuring book music and lyrics by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, was set to have a three week limited run at the Ambassadors Theatre from the 27th October 2018 until the 5th January 2019.
The musical has been nominated for eight Off-West End Awards including Best Musical, Best Male Performance in a Musical, Best Female Performance in a Musical, Lighting Design, Sound Design and Video Design.
