On display from the 13th to the 28th December, this new exhibition will focus on hyperrealism.
This brand new exhibition will feature the work of London-based artists such as Valter Adam Casotto, who worked on the special effects and make-up artistry of Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and The Hobbit, and John Humphreys, creator of the alien that inspired The X-Files and sculptor for Dr Who and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alexander. Both focus on creating close to life creations.
Featuring everything from life-like sculptures to paintings that look like real photos, Beyond Reality concentrates on artworks designed to challenge the viewers, making them question whether what they are looking at is art or life.
The exhibition will also feature the work of artists such as Mark Sijan, Tigran Tsitoghdzyan, Mike Dargas, Michael Moebius and Yigal Ozeri, Nicolae Maniu and Lee Jung Woong.
Talking about the exhibition Federica Beretta, Deputy Director at Opera Gallery London, said: “We wanted to have a playful exhibition, with works that anyone can access and engage with. Beyond Reality will exhibit art by emerging artists as well as world-leading and acclaimed masters in the field. These days there seems to be a great appetite for skilful artists, who question the way we perceive art thanks to their unparalleled craft”.
Beyond Reality will be on display at the Opera Gallery from the 13th to the 28th December.
