It has been announced that Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical will tour the UK later this year ahead of a Christmas season at The Lowry.
Featuring well known songs such as “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas”, the UK tour will open at the New Wimbledon Theatre on the 1st November before travelling to Glasgow, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Birmingham before heading to The Lowry for a Christmas season from the 10th December until the 5th January.
The Grinch discovers there’s more to Christmas than he bargained for in this heart-warming and hilarious musical. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss create the whimsical world of Whoville, and the scheming Grinch whose heart is “two sizes too small,” as he attempts to steal Christmas away from the Whos, an endlessly joyful bunch bursting with holiday cheer.
This musical based on the beloved Dr Seuss story features music and book by Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason. The production will also feature set design by John Lee Beatty and costume design by Robert Morgan. The UK production is based on the show originally created by 3-time Tony Award winning director, Jack O’Brien and choreographer John DeLuca.
