The musical will play for a limited run at the Royal Festival Hall from the 14th June.

Joining the previously announced Renée Fleming and Dove Cameron, the production directed by Olivier award-winner, Daniel Evans is also set to star: Rob Houchen,Celinde Schoenmaker, Liam Tamne, Marie McLaughlin and Malcolm Sinclair. Casting for the role of Signor Naccarelli, Fabrizio’s father has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the company will also include Matthew Woodyatt, Rhona McGregor, Tom Partridge, Molly Lynch, Nicholas Duncan, Chlöe Hart, Danny Becker, Monica Swayne and Simbi Akande.
Florence. Summer 1953. As American Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara take in the city’s wonders, a fateful gust of wind whisks Clara’s hat into the hands of local dreamer Fabrizio Naccarelli… and it’s amore at first sight. But Clara isn’t quite what she appears, and soon they must all confront a secret that’s been kept in the shadows for far too long.
Performing for a limited twenty performances, the production will features designs by Robert Jones with costumes by Brigitte Reiffenstuel, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Mick Potter. The musical features a book by Craig Lucas, with music and lyrics by Adam Guettel – the score will be performed live by the 35 piece orchestra of Opera North under the baton of Kimberly Grigsby, conductor of the original Lincoln Center production.
