Fourteen additional dates have been added to the UK touring production of The Girl on the Train.
Starring Samantha Womack as Rachel Watson and based on the thrilling novel by Paula Hawkins and the Dreamworks film, The Girl on the Train has announced new Autumn dates – extending its tour until November 2019.
Now travelling to an additional fourteen venues in Oxford, Canterbury,Birmingham, Aberdeen, Bradford, High Wycombe, Cambridge, Plymouth, Swindon, Bromley, Malvern, Woking, Eastbourne and Cardiff, the production is directed by Anthony Banks.
Rachel Watson who longs for a different life. Her only escape is the perfect couple she watches through the train window every day, happy and in love. Or so it appears. When Rachel learns that the woman she’s been secretly watching has suddenly disappeared, she finds herself as a witness and even a suspect in a thrilling mystery in which she will face bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.
As well as Samantha Womack, the current cast for the UK tour includes: former Coronation Street star Oliver Farnworth as Scott, John Dougall as DI Gaskill, Naeem Hayatt as Kamal Abdic, Adam Jackson-Smith asTom Watson, Lowenna Melrose as Anna Watson, and Kirsty Oswald as Megan Hipwell. They are joined by Philippa Flynn and Matt Concannon in the ensemble. The complete cast for the autumn tour will be released later this year.
As well as being directed by Anthony Banks, the creative team for the production includes: set and costumes by James Cotterill, lighting by Jack Knowles, sound by Ben & Max Ringham, projection design by Andrzej Goulding and fights by Alison de Burgh. It has been produced for the stage by Simon Friend,Amblin Entertainment and Josh Andrews and adapted by Rachel Wagstaff & Duncan Abel.
