The new British musical will play at the Southwark Playhouse from the 3rd to the 20th July.

It has been confirmed that Daniel Buckley (Ferris in Eugenius!), Hiba Elchikhe (Princess Jasmine, Disney’s Aladdin) and Kayleigh McKnight (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) are set to star in the world premiere production of the musical by  Alex James Ellison and Tom Lees.

Fiver, follows the story of a humble five pound note as it passes through the hands and pockets of people in London. Often unnoticed and obviously unaware, the fiver is present for significant moments in each person’s life – whether it be an appreciation of their skills as a street performer; the start or end of a relationship; or the simple realisation that they can afford a bed for the night.

Having initially had a workshop at the Crazy Coq’s in 2017, the musical’s creators Ellison and Lees said: “Since Crazy Coqs we have expanded the show, both in terms of length and complexity. Fiver now runs 40 minutes longer and we are massively excited to see the changes we have made come to life on stage.”

With further casting yet to be announced, the production will feature set design by Justin Williams and musical direction by Tom Lees.

Fiver will play at the Southwark Playhouse from the 3rd to the 20th July.
