Historic Royal Palaces and IMG have confirmed the duo will headline the final night of Hampton Court Palace Festival 2019.
Musical theatre star Michael Ball and world-renowned tenor Alfie Boe will return to Hampton Court Palace to perform as part of the palace’s festival on the 22nd June. Tickets will go on sale at 10am this Thursday 14th March.
The pair return to perform at the palace for the first time since 2017 to sing some of their best known songs, with the evening concluding with a fireworks finale. Together, Michael Ball & Alfie Boe have achieved two Number one albums, two Classical BRIT Awards and over a million album sales.
Now in its 27th year Hampton Court Palace Festival is a series of open air concerts, with artists performing in a 3,000-seat auditorium in Base Court, set against the backdrop of Henry VIII’s stunning Tudor palace. Those attending can picnic on the grounds, with this year’s picnics being provided by Fortnum & Mason for the first time.
Michael Ball and Alfie Boe joins the line up of other artists already announced to take part in this year’s festival including: Caro Emerald on 12th June, Jools Holland on 6th June, new-wave legends Tears For Fears on 18th and 19th June, music royalty The Jacksons on 7th June, the iconic Nile Rodgers & Chic on 14th and 15th June and the princess of pop Kylie Minogue on 20th and 21st June. Tickets for these concerts are on-sale now, except general admission tickets for Kylie Minogue’s concerts and Nile Rodger & Chic’s 14 June concert as they are now sold out.
