NEWS: Disney’s The Lion King to Hold Dedicated Relaxed Performance

It has been announced the popular West End musical will host a dedicated relaxed performance at the Lyceum Theatre on the 2nd June.

The musical will be continuing its commitment to create an inclusive experience at the Lyceum Theatre having hosted its fifth Autism-Friendly Performance in London in June 2018, the popular production has now announced it will be presenting a Relaxed Performance for 2019.

These special relaxed performances have been specially adapted  to be accessible to a wide range of audiences such as those with autism, those with a learning disability or anyone with a sensory predisposition, with extra trained staff on hand and dedicated quiet areas inside the theatre should anyone need to leave their seat.

Now in its 20th year in the West End’s Lyceum Theatre, The Lion King will be officially celebrating its 20th birthday in October this year and is currently the sixth longest running show in the West End.

Disney’s award-winning musical The Lion King explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. It follows the powerful story of Simba as he journeys from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.
