Jamie Lloyd is to direct a new production of the musical as part of the theatre’s 2019 Summer season.
Playing at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from the 2nd August, Jamie Lloyd will direct a new production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical based on the life of Eva Perron.
From a life of poverty to spiritual leader of the nation, Eva Peron was loved, hated, derided and venerated. Dividing the Argentinian people with her patriotic speeches, her ambition, glamour and magnetism established ‘Evita’ as the world’s first major political celebrity. The musical features the classic songs Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Oh What A Circus and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.
The cast for the upcoming production is set to include Samantha Pauly as Eva Peron, Ektor Rivera as Juan Peron, Trent Saunders as Che and Frances Mayli McCann as The Mistress.
Meanwhile, the creative team for the production includes designs by Soutra Gilmour, choreography by Fabian Aloise, lighting design by Jon Clark and sound design by Nick Lidster for Autograph.
Evita will play at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from the 2nd August until the 21st September. To book tickets click here or visit: Theatre Tickets Direct.co.uk, Love Theatre.com, Encore Tickets, See Tickets, From the Box Office or Last Minute.com.
