Following two successful seasons at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Timothy Sheader’s production will play at the Barbican for a limited season.

Playing at the Barbican from the 4th July, Timothy Sheader’s production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical returns to London.

Originally created as a rock opera album, this sung through musical focuses on the final days of the life of Jesus Christ and includes memorable songs such as ‘Heaven on Their Minds’, ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’ and ‘Superstar’.

Casting for the production is set to include Robert Tripolino as Jesus,Ricardo Afonso as Judas, Sallay Garnett as Mary, Matt Cardle asPilate, Cavin Cornwall as Caiaphas and Nathan Amzi as Annas.

Meanwhile, the creative team for the production includes design by Tom Scutt, choreography by Drew McOnie, lighting by Lee Curran, sound design by Nick Lidster for Autograph. The production is produced by William Village and Timothy Sheader for Regent’s Park Theatre Ltd by special arrangement with The Really Useful Group Limited.
