The two time Olivier Award winner is set to join the production, which will play a limited season at Manchester Opera House, from Tuesday 10th September to Saturday 12th October, before beginning performances in London at The Shaftesbury Theatre on Saturday 2nd November.

Having won Olivier Awards for his performances  in Jerry Springer The Opera and In The Heights, it has been confirmed that David Bedella will join the cast of the new musical. He will be joined on stage by the previously announced Miriam-Teak Lee in the title role, Cassidy Janson, Oliver Tompsett, Arun Blair-Mangat, Melanie La Barrie, Jordan Luke Gage and Tim Mahendran.

Meanwhile, the ensemble is set to include: Jocasta Almgill, Josh Baker, Alishia-Marie Blake, Ivan De Freitas, Rhian Duncan, Danielle Fiamanya, Kieran Lai, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Jaye Marshall, Grace Mouat, Antoine Murray-Straughan, Kerri Norville, Christopher Parkinson, Dillon Scott-Lewis, Kirstie Skivington and Alex Tranter.

Picking up where the classic story Romeo & Juliet finishes, & Juliet the musical uses the tragic ending as where Juliet’s life really begins. With the help of the music by Max Martin, the musical will feature  some of the biggest pop anthems of the last thirty years arranged by Tony and Grammy Award-winning orchestrator Bill Sherman.

The musical is brought to life by a creative team including direction by Luke Sheppard (In the Heights), a book by David West Read (Schitt’s Creek), choreography from Jennifer Weber, set design from Soutra Gilmourand costume design by Paloma Young.
