Following on from his successful run at Crazy Coqs last year, Randy Roberts returns to London in June. He chatted to LLLC’s Emma Clarendon about his show.

Hi – thank you so much for talking to me! How are you feeling about coming back to London? It’s my pleasure. I honestly can’t wait to come back. I love London. I had the most glorious time, on my last trip. I’m so excited to return.

What can audiences expect from the show? A non stop 80 minutes of escape, from the world! My mother likes to say that the show is a musical cabaret show that just happens to star a man in a dress! Be prepared to laugh!

Have you a favourite moment in the show? I love the last part of the show. I get the opportunity to interact with the audience. I never know what’s going to come out of their mouths… or mine!

What would you say unites all of the women that you impersonate? Balls! They’ve all survived major ups and downs and more than survived. They also all have great senses of humor.

What do you love the most about performing in front of an audience? The camaraderie.  It’s like a game of tennis, for me. I hit a joke or song out to the audience. Every audience lobs it back, in a different way. There’s absolutely nothing like a live audience.

If people are thinking about coming along to Crazy Coqs to see you – why should they?  To spend an evening of pure enjoyment. Great music, gorgeous costumes, fabulous impersonations, a big ol’ voice, and lots of laughs!
