Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story will make its London debut at Wilton’s Music Hall from the 18th to the 28th September.

Written by Hannah Moscovitch and directed by Christian Barry, Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story is an eighty minute show is based on a true story of two Jewish Romanian refugees fleeing Romania for Canada in 1908. 

This Klezmer / folk music theatrical hybrid features songs by Ben Caplan and Christian Barry and originally premiered at the Halifax, Canada and has since been performed throughout Canada, in New York (where it garnered six Drama Desk Award Nominations) and Edinburgh, across the UK, in Australia and Holland. 

The show is performed by Ben Caplan as The Wonderer and Mary Fay Coady as Chaya. Further casting is set to be announced soon.

As well as being directed by Christian Barry, the production features costume design by Carly Beamish, set and lighting design by Louisa Adamson and Christian Barry as well as sound design by Jordan Palmer, Christian Barry and Ben Caplan.
