The cast for the London run of The Worst Witch, which will play at the Vaudeville Theatre from the 24th July, has been confirmed.

Reprising their roles in Theresa Heskins’ production will be: Rosie Abraham (Peter Pan Goes Wrong) as Ethel; Danielle Bird (Alice’s Adventures Underground) as Mildred; Molly-Grace Cutler (We’ll Live and Die in These Towns) as Miss Bat; Meg Forgan (We’ll Live and Die in These Towns) as Fenella; Rachel Heaton (The Odd Couple) as Miss Hardbroom; Rebecca Killick (Pink Mist) as Maud; Emma Lau (Table) as Drusilla; Megan Leigh Mason (Sunny Afternoon) as Miss Drill; Polly Lister (Table) as Agatha/Miss Cackle; and Consuela Rolle(Remember, Remember) as Enid. They will be joined by Lauryn Redding (Educating Rita) as Griselda.

Mildred Hubble was an ordinary girl who found herself in an extraordinary place: a school for witches. Now in her final year, accident prone Mildred and her fellow pupils are about to embark on their biggest and most important adventure yet…

Jealous Ethel Hallow is always out to spoil Mildred’s fun. Miss Hardbroom is opposed to all fun in general. And just as Mildred sparks some inevitable mayhem certain to upset them both, an old enemy returns with a plan for revenge that could threaten not just the Academy, but the whole world.

The Worst Witch has been adapted from Jill Murphy’s books by Emma Reeves and is set to play for a limited season at the Vaudeville Theatre from the 24th July following a successful UK tour.

As well as being directed by Theresa Heskins, the creative team for the production includes designs by Simon Daw, with lighting by Aideen Malone, sound by Leigh Davies, original music by Luke Potter, aerial direction by Vicki Amedume, choreography by Beverley Norris-Edmunds, and illusions by John Bulleid.
