The Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated actor will star as God in the world premiere of Only Human.
It has been announced that Gary Busey is set to star in Only Human, a new pop rock musical which will open for previews at Theatre at St. Clements on the 8th October.
Before they were enemies, they were co-workers. Jesus and Lucifer never saw eye-to-eye, but when an extreme case of creative differences gets the best of them, all hell breaks loose…literally.
This new musical features a book by Jess Carson and music and lyrics by Mike Squillante. The creative team for the production is set to include choreography by Josue Jasmin, direction by NJ Agwuna, set design by Andrew Moerdyk, costume design by Avery Reed, and lighting design by Eric Norbury. It is being produced by Jesse Murphy, co-founder of Jesse|James Films, with partner James Sears Bryant. Additional producers are Gylden Entertainment, Gary & Sharon Jarrard, James Raby, Mary & Dick Meisterling, Amy Hassinger, and Steve Becker.
Gary Busey is set to star as God in the production, with further casting yet to be announced. Busey is best known for starring in films such as Lethal Weapon and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. He was nominated for an Academy and Golden Globe award for his performance in The Buddy Holly Story.
Only Human will play at the Theatre at St. Clements from the 8th October until the 5th January 2020. Tickets will go on sale on the 21st June.
