Matthew Warchus will direct a revival of Duncan Macmillan’s play at the Old Vic from the 14th October.
This new production will see Matt Smith and Claire Foy making their Old Vic debuts in this revival of Duncan MacMillan’s play.
The ice caps are melting, there’s overpopulation, political unrest; everything’s going to hell in a handcart – why on earth would someone bring a baby into this world?
As well as being directed by Matthew Warchus, the creative team for the production will include designs by Rob Howell and lighting design by Tim Lutkin.
Matt Smith’s previous stage credits include That Face (Royal Court/West End); Swimming with Sharks (West End); Fresh Kills (Royal Court); American Psycho (Almeida); Chatroom, Citizenship, History Boys (National Theatre). His numerous television credits include The Crown, Doctor Who, Bert and Dickie, Christopher and His Kind, Moses Jones and Party Animals.
Claire Foy’s recent theatre credits include: Macbeth, The Connections Plays: Baby Girl, DNA and The Miracle (West End); Ding Dong the Wicked, Love, Love, Love (Royal Court). As well as starring as Queen Elizabeth in The Crown, her television credits also include Wolf Hall and Little Dorrit.
