Iris Theatre’s production will play at St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden from the 1st August.
Directed by Bertie Watkins, the production based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel is set to star. Max Alexander-Taylor, Ed Bruggemeyer, Darrie Gardner, Izzy Jones, Robert Rhodes and Katie Trante.
In 1482, set against the shadows of Notre Dame Cathedral, a priest and a hunchback both fall for the mysterious and beautiful Esmerelda who solely longs to find her long-lost mother. When the unhappy pair try to take matters into their own hands they set off a chain of events that no one can control.
Promptly enough, revolution sweeps over the city of Paris and the mob breaks against the walls of the cathedral. Will the hunchback find true love? Will the priest save his soul? And will it take the people of Paris to save Esmerelda?
From the 2017 Off West End Offie Award Winning producers of Treasure Island, comes this promenade production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Victor Hugo’s story has been adapted for the stage by Benjamin Polya. Meanwhile, the creative team also includes composer and musical director Matthew Malone, set designer Isabella Van Braeckel, costume design by Cieranne Kennedy-Bell and fight choreographer Esme Cooper.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame will play at St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden from the 1st August until the 1st September.
