The circus company are set to perform at the Roundhouse for a limited season in January 2020 with their show Lexicon, the company’s latest touring show following on from ImMortal, tabu, and Bianco.

Lexicon is a world inhabited by quiet misfits and furious poetry, a world of magic, laughter and lightness. Be entertained by an anarchic mix of perilous and playful circus. Experience moments of wild abandon, as the entire company take to the stage riding flying desks, throwing flaming torches or challenging each other in an eruption of languages. Be awed by moments of quieter physical poetry with expressive set pieces involving aerial, ropes and trapeze.

NoFit State Circus last performed at the Roundhouse in 2012/13 with Bianco directed by Firenza Guidi who also directs Lexicon. Bianco was also performed in 2017 at the Southbank Centre.

Talking about the news, Tom Rack, Cofounder and Artistic Director NoFit State said: “We’re excited to bring our new show, Lexicon to London. Past shows like Bianco were more like aerial spectaculars in a ‘promenade’ style, where audiences would walk around with the action going on above and all around them. But in Lexicon we’re embracing the origins of circus with traditional style seated ‘in-the-round’ audience and some more traditional skills and techniques. There’ll still be spectacular, heart-in-your-mouth aerial skills, beautiful images and exciting live music, but now we can perform on a stage as well, which opens up world of exciting possibilities. We have an international cast of incredibly talented performers and an amazing creative team, it’s shaping up to be a fresh and fantastic show.”

Lexicon will be performed at the Roundhouse from the 3rd to the 18th January 2020.
