The producers of Heartbeat of Home have announced they will be conducting open auditions to join the production which begins performances at the Piccadilly Theatre in September.

Producers are now looking for the final singer to join the production of Heartbeat of Home, calling for experienced female lead singers with good movement skills, who are invited to audition at The Joint, Kings Cross, WC1X 9DG on Thursday 8th August, registration at 10am.

Those who wish to apply should bring along with them a headshot, CV and be prepared with an acapella sixteen bars of a modern, soulful song that shows off your range. Successful applicants will be recalled the following day. For more information email: casting@cuffeandtaylor.com

Heartbeat of Home is a dance and music filled show, featuring components of traditional Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban music and dance. It will begin performances at the Piccadilly Theatre on the 4th September, officially opening on the 11th September.

The production features 33 world-class dancers and live musicians from Ireland, U.S.A, Australia, Britain, Canada, Italy, Argentina and Spain. It was created and directed by John McColgan with award-winning Irish composer, Brian Byrne (who has worked with Katy Perry and Barbara Streisand), concept development and lyrics by award-winning Irish writer Joseph O’Connor, choreography by David Bolger and is produced by Moya Doherty.

Meanwhile, the creative team for the production also includes:  John Carey (Irish Dance Choreography), Alan Farquharson (Set Design), David Torpey/Image Now and David Mattias/COSMO (Set Projection Design), Peter Canning (Lighting Design), Ciarán Byrne (Sound Design), Monica Ennis and Niamh O’Connor (Costumes Styling) and Padraic Moyles(Associate Director).
