Want to make the most of the summer? Here’s a few ideas of what you can do….

Chihuly Nights at Kew Gardens: experience the work of Dale Chihuly displayed at Kew Gardens after hours from the 15th August accompanied by music commissioned by Guest Artists and based on a composition by acclaimed composer Nico Muhly. Meanwhile, those in search of food and drink can also stop by Victoria Plaza Café and at The Pavilion Bar and Grill for some summer treats.

London Underground Treasure Hunt: use your detective skills in this two hour experience filled with mental and physical tests. If you complete the tasks on time you will win a selection of official London Underground merchandise – but be careful to return back to base on time otherwise you might be penalised! The Master of the Hunt will meet you outside Green Park Tube Station at 14.30 (Saturdays) and 19.00 (Wednesdays) on the day of the hunt.

Shrek Adventure: for those with little ones, why not go on a adventure with Shrek and his friends in this indoor walk and ride experience that will see you encountering a magic mirror maze, a smelly swamp, powerful spells and a cheeky DreamWorks game show. It is open daily from 10am and the experience lasts roughly eighty minutes.

Take a trip ZSL London Zoo: discover a wide variety of animals with the family at London Zoo, where you can visit exhibits such as Land of the Lions, Penguin Beach and Gorilla Kingdom. At certain times of the day there are also demonstrations and a chance to see the animals being fed.

Have a private audience with a Beefeater and tour the Tower of London: enjoy a private tour of the Tower of London before the crowds arrive in the company of a Beefeater. The tour will include a visit to the Jewel House to discover Britain’s most prized treasures including swords, rings, crowns, and sceptres. The Beefeater will tell visitors about the history of the tower as well as the importance of the role of Beefeaters at the iconic landmark.

Take a trip to the cinema with a unique setting thanks to Backyard Cinema: take a trip to L.A. without having to get on a plane thanks to Backyard Cinema’s new experience at The Roundhouse in Camden. Enjoy adult only Slush Puppie cocktails, a pre show of musical mash-ups produced by DJ Jaguar Skills, bespoke vegan ice cream as well as its very own beer crafted by Gipsy Hill Brewing Company while taking in a screening of some of the most popular films around including: BlackkKlansman, A Star is Born and Stan and Ollie,Back to the Future, Clueless, The Greatest Showman, Dirty Dancing, Grease and Bohemian Rhapsody.
