Playing at the Boulevard Theatre from the 24th October, casting has today been announced for Bill Buckhurst’s production. The cast is set to include: Carly Bawden (Romantics Anonymous, Sam Wanamaker Playhouse), Niccolò Curradi (Hotel for Criminals, New Wimbledon Studio), Maimuna Memon (Jesus Christ Superstar, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre) and Zubin Varla (Fun Home, Young Vic).

Ghost Quartet is the first production at the new Boulevard Theatre, led by Fawn James Director of Soho Estates and Artistic Director Rachel Edwards.

Rose has a problem. She’s been betrayed by her lover, a local tree-dwelling astronomer, with her very own sister. Rose seeks vengeance and a passing bear might just offer the answer. But his services come at a price: a pot of honey, one piece of stardust, a secret baptism – and a photo of a ghost.

The musical is written by the Tony Award-nominated writer of Broadway smash-hit Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 Dave Malloy. It draws inspiration from Arabian Nights and Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, Grimms’ fairy-tales, Stephen Sondheim and Frozen, woven together by jazz, gospel, honky-tonk, folk ballads, electro-pop and jazz.

This London premiere is directed by Bill Buckhurst, with musical direction and supervision by Benjamin Cox, design by Simon Kenny, movement direction by Georgina Lamb, lighting by Emma Chapman and sound design by David Gregory.

Ghost Quartet will play at the Boulevard Theatre from the 24th October until the 4th January 2020.
