A new video has been released of the cast performing the song ’30/90′, ahead of the musical’s run at the Bridge House Theatre from the 1st to the 27th October.

Tick…Tick…Boom! is an autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson who went on to win a Pulitzer and three Tony Awards for  Rent. It tells the story of the composer on the brink of turning 30, his fear of falling into oblivion, and the sacrifices he made to achieve his big break in the theatre.

This new production, directed by the Bridge House Theatre’s Artistic Director Guy Retallack, is set to star: Georgie Ashford, James Hume and Alex Lodge.

Jon’s girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city, his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue and yet Jon is still waiting on tables and trying to write the great American musical.

Talking about the musical, director Guy Retallack said: “Jonathan Larson’s late 20th century neurotic rock musical is alarmingly prescient. At a time when work/life balance feels ever more precarious Jon’s search to make it in the Big Apple feels thrillingly relevant.”

The musical is being brought to the stage at a time when it has been announced that it is being produced for Netflix, directed by Lin Manuel-Miranda.

Tick…Tick…Boom! will play at the Bridge House Theatre from the 1st to the 27th October.
