The actress joins the London production of the Broadway musical to play Becky.

Having most recently been seen as Jesse Dingle in Emmerdale, it has been announced that Sandra Marvin will be joining the London production of Waitress from the 17th October. She will be joining the cast to play the role of Becky, taking on the role from Marisha Wallace.

As well as starring in Emmerdale, her previous credits also include: Committee and City of Angels at The Donmar Warehouse and starred in several West End productions including Showboat as Queenie, Hairspray as Motormouth Maybelle, Porgy & Bess and Ragtime.

She joins the cast of Waitress to star alongside Lucie Jones as Jenna, Joe Sugg as Ogie, Laura Baldwin as Dawn, David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter, Tamlyn Henderson as Earl and Andrew Boyer as Old Joe.

Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams her way out of a loveless marriage. When a hot new doctor arrives in town, life gets complicated. With the support of her workmates Becky and Dawn, Jenna overcomes the challenges she faces and finds that laughter, love and friendship can provide the perfect recipe for happiness.  

As well as a score by Sara Bareilles (Love Song, Brave), Waitress features a book by Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam), direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland) and choreography by Lorin Latarro.
