NEWS: Full Casting Announced for Cyrano de Bergerac

The Jamie Lloyd Company’s production will begin performances at the Playhouse Theatre from the 27th November.

Full casting has been announced for Jamie Lloyd’s production of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, freely adapted for this production by Martin Crimp.

Joining the previously announced James McAvoy in the title role will be: Michele Austin (Ragueneau), Adam Best (Le Bret), Sam Black (Armand/Priest), Nari Blair-Mangat (Valvert), PhilipCairns (Referee), Tom Edden (De Guiche), EbenFigueiredo (Christian), Chris Fung (Usher), Adrian Der Gregorian (Montfleury), Carla Harrison-Hodge (Denise/Medic), Seun Shote (Theatre Owner), KirunaStamell (Marie-Louise), NimaTaleghani (Ligniere), and Anita-Joy Uwajeh (Roxane) with Vaneeka Dadhria, Mika Johnson and Brinsley Terence.

Fierce with a pen and notorious in combat, Cyrano almost has it all – if only he could win the heart of his true love. There’s just one big problem: he has a nose as huge as his heart. Will a society engulfed by narcissism get the better of De Bergerac – or can his mastery of language set Roxane’s world alight?

Cyrano de Bergerac is the first production in a new season at the Playhouse Theatre to be directed by Jamie Lloyd. Further productions in the year long season have yet to be announced.

The creative team for the production is also set to include: design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Jon Clark, sound and composition by Ben and Max Ringham and fight direction by Kate Waters.

Cyrano de Bergerac will play at the Playhouse Theatre from the 27th November until the 29th February 2020. Tickets are available to buy through ATG Tickets.
