NEWS: New West End Cast for Hamilton Announced

The new cast is announced as more tickets are released for the London production.

Producers Jeffrey Seller and Cameron Mackintosh have today announced the new cast for the London production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical, which is heading into its third year at the Victoria Palace Theatre, with tickets now available up until the 28th March 2020.

From the 18th November, Karl Queensborough will be playing the title role Alexander Hamilton, with Allyson Ava-Brown and Jason Pennycooke continuing in their roles as Angelica Schuyler and Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson respectively. They are joined by Emilie Louise Israel as Peggy Schuyler/ Maria Reynolds, Trevor Dion Nicholas as George Washington, Simon-Anthony Rhoden as Aaron Burr, Sharon Rose as Eliza Hamilton, Emile Ruddock as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Carl Spencer as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton and from 4th November 2019 Gavin Spokes will be playing King George.  Nuno Queimado will play the role of Alexander Hamilton at certain performances.

Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the very foundations of the America we know today. The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway – the story of America then, as told by America now.

This Tony and Olivier Award winning musical features music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and is directed by Thomas Kail. The creative team also includes choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire and is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton. The production features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and hair and wig design by Charles G. Lapointe.

Hamilton is currently booking at the Victoria Palace Theatre until the 28th March 2020.
