Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and Music & Lyrics Limited have confirmed that the musical comedy The Addams Family will embark on a UK tour next year, opening at the Newcastle Theatre Royal on the 30th July.
The musical adaptation will once again be directed by Matthew White, with casting to be announced. It features book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, the creators of multi award-winning Jersey Boys, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, and is based on the characters created by Charles Addams.

Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. All the usual clan are present – Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley et al.
After its run at the Newcastle Theatre Royal, the musical will visit Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Northampton, Wimbledon, Nottingham, Woking, Bromley, Salford and Oxford, with further tour dates to be announced.
