The production will officially reopen the Riverside Studios from the 21st January.

Adapted from Ingmar Bergman’s 1966 iconic Swedish psychological movie by Paul Schoolman, the cast for the world premiere stage production includes Olivier Award winner Alice Krige, who returns to the London stage following two decades of working in Hollywood movies and on hit TV shows. She is joined on stage by Nobuhle Ketelo, Paul Schoolman, who adapted Bergman’s manuscript while working in the film director’s study on the Island of Faro and William Close.

Renowned stage actress, Elizabet, has suffered a psychological breakdown and relapsed into silence. She is sent with Sister Alma, the nurse assigned to her recovery, to a remote summer beach house. Can Alma coax Elizabet out of her silence? Truth, lies, manipulation and identity, PERSONA explores the meaning of ‘reality’.

As well as being directed by Paul Schoolman, the creative team for the production includes production design by BAFTA award winner Fotini Dimou and videographer Filip Haglund.

Persona is set to play at the Riverside Studios from the 21st January until the 23rd February.
