NEWS: Casting Announced for Pretty Woman the Musical

The musical will begin previews at the Piccadilly Theatre in February 2020.

It has been announced that Aimie Atkinson will play Vivian and Danny Mac will play Edward in the upcoming London production of Pretty Woman the Musical, heading to the Piccadilly Theatre next year.

Aimie Atkinson is best known for starring in the original cast of Six the Musical at the Arts Theatre and In the Heights at the Kings Cross Theatre.

Danny Mac can currently be seen in White Christmas at the Dominion Theatre, while his other stage credits include On the Town at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and Amelie.

Full casting for the musical is set to be announced soon.

Pretty Woman the Musical is based on the 1990’s film that starred Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. It is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell and features an original score by Bryan Adams and  Jim Vallance, with a book by Garry Marshall and the film’s screenwriter JF Lawton.

The creative team also includes scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S Rosenberg, sound design by John Shivers, hair design by Josh Marquette, and music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Will Van Dyke.
