Ron Elisha’s play will be presented at the King’s Head Theatre from the 14th January.

It has been announced that Falling in Love will play at the King’s Head Theatre for a limited season from the 14th January until the 8th February.

Written by Australian playwright Ron Elisha, the play follows Marlene Dietrich as she attempts to stop King Edward VIII from abdicating the throne to marry American divorcée, Wallis Simpson.

It’s 1936. Edward’s about to abdicate. Marlene Dietrich wants to stop him. She shows up at Fort Belvedere for an all nighter, during which she sings, dances, races a horse and plays the musical saw, all in an effort to seduce him. But will her efforts pay off?

This UK premiere production is directed by Tama Matheson and is set to star Ashton Spear as Edward and Ramona Von Pusch as Marlene Dietrich. Ashton Spear has just finished filming The Haunting of Margam Castle, while Ramona Von Pusch’s stage credits include: The Graduate with Jerry Hall and Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap (sold out Australia and New Zealand tour).

Falling in Love Again will play at the King’s Head Theatre from the 14th January until the 8th February.
