The production will run at the Charing Cross Theatre from the 21st March until the 16th May.

It has been announced that two time Olivier award-winner Janie Dee is set to star in the upcoming London premiere of Christopher Durang’s Tony Award-winning Best Play comedy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.
Vanya and his sister Sonia live a quiet life in the Pennsylvania farmhouse where they grew up. But their sister Masha escaped many years ago and became a famous movie star. When Masha returns unannounced with her twenty-something boy toy, Spike, so begins a rollicking weekend of rivalry, regret and all-too true premonitions.
Directed by Walter Bobbie (Tony award winner for ‘Chicago’), the production is set to run at the Charing Cross Theatre for eight weeks only from the 21st March.
Janie Dee has won the Olivier Award, the Evening Standard Award and Critics Circle Awards for Best Actress in a Play, as well as the Obie and Theatre World Best Newcomer Award in New York, for her performance as Jacie Triplethree in Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘Comic Potential’. She also received the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her performance as Carrie Pipperidge in Nicholas Hytner’s acclaimed production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘Carousel’ at the National Theatre and the TMA UK Theatre Award 2013 for Best Performance in a Musical for her performance as Dolly Levi in ‘Hello, Dolly!’ at Curve, Leicester.
Further casting for the production is set to be announced soon.
Meanwhile, the creative team for the production is set to include: Set Designer David Korins, Costume Designer Emily Rebholz and Sound Designer & Original Music by Mark Bennett.
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will play at the Charing Cross Theatre from 21st March until the 16th May.
