Lolita Chakrabarti’s adaptation of Yann Martel’s Man Booker Prize winning novel transfers to the West End from the 28th June.

Full casting has been confirmed for the upcoming West End transfer of Max Webster’s production which premiered at the Sheffield Theatres last year.

Playing at the Wyndham’s Theatre from the 28th June, the cast for the London run will be led by Hiran Abeysekera who will be reprising his role as Pi. He will be joined on stage by: Mina Anwar, Sagar Arya, Alex Chang, Fred Davis, Tom Espiner, Kirsten Foster, Daisy Franks, Raj Ghatak, Nuwan Hugh Perera, Romina Hytten, Sarah Kameela Impey, Tom Larkin, David K.S. Tse, Syreeta Kumar, Deeivya Meir, Habib Nasib Nader and Scarlet Wilderink.

After a cargo ship sinks in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, there are five survivors stranded on a single lifeboat – a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, a sixteen year-old boy and a 450-pound Royal Bengal tiger. Time is against them, nature is harsh, who will survive?

As well as being directed by Max Webster, the production’s creative team includes: set and costume design by Tim Hatley, puppet and movement direction by Finn Caldwell, video design by Andrzej Goulding, lighting design by Tim Lutkin, sound design by Carolyn Downing and composer Andrew T Mackay .
