NEWS: Full Casting Announced for Zorro the Musical

The production will run at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre from the 14th March.

Directed by Christian Durham, full casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Zorro the Musical. The cast is set to be led by Antony Costa as Garcia, Alex Gibson-Giorgio as Ramon, Emma Kingston as Luisa, Genevieve Nicole as Inez, Kit Orton as Don Alejandro and Benjamin Purkiss as the masked hero, Zorro. 

They will be joined on stage by Ajjaz Awad, Amy Bastani, Isobel Bates, Ben Boskovic, Maxwell Griffin, Matthew Heywood, Jessica Pardoe, Thomas Ping, Seren Sandham-Davies and Stylianos Thomadakis.

In the scorching heat of California in 1805, a pueblo is under attack from its autocratic leader. Only a hero can save them. When the danger is at its greatest, a masked crusader appears from nowhere and saves lives. Who is he? Will he be their champion?

This production presented by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment, and John Gertz in association with Zorro USA, LLC will see the audience right at the heart of the action from the start, beginning in the foyer with live entertainment and a Flamenco party led by the actor-musician company.

The musical features music by the Gypsy Kings and John Cameron, lyrics by Stephen Clark and a book by Stephen Clark and Helen Edmundson. Meanwhile, the production’s creative team also includes design by Rosa Maggiora, choreography by Cressida Carre, musical direction by Nick Barstow, sound design by Andrew Johnson and lighting design by Matt Haskins.

Zorro the musical will run at the Hope Mill Theatre from the 14th March until the 18th April.
