For a week, from Monday 23rd March at 10am until 29th March 10pm, anyone with an Instagram account will be able to watch the full production of I and You, which debuted at the Hampstead Theatre in 2018.

By following either @hampstead_theatre or @lalatellsastory (Lauren Gunderson), Instagram users will be able to view the play on their IGTV channels.

The production stars Zach Wyatt and Maisie Williams and is an uplifting portrayal of friendship, youth and living life to the full. It was previously broadcast for free from 30th November to 3rd December 2018.

Housebound because of illness, Caroline hasn’t been to school in months. Confined to her room, she has only Facebook for company. That is until classmate Anthony bursts in – uninvited and armed with waffle fries, a scruffy copy of Walt Whitman’s poetry and a school project due in the next day… Caroline is unimpressed all round.

But an unlikely friendship develops and a seemingly mundane piece of homework starts to reveal the pair’s hopes and dreams – as well as a deep and mysterious bond that connects them even further.

Talking about the news, Roxana Silbert, Artistic Director of Hampstead Theatre said: “Like everyone in the theatre community right now, and indeed across the globe, we at Hampstead Theatre are watching these unprecedented events unfold and wondering what we can do to help.We are an industry that seeks to bring people together and tell stories that resonate. I hope this particularly tender and funny story offers some much-needed entertainment and connection right now – thank you to Lauren Gunderson, Edward Hall, Maisie Williams, Zach Wyatt and the entire company in allowing us to share your beautiful work.”
