It has been announced that a West End cast recording of the musical is set for release this Friday.

It has been confirmed that the musical based on the acclaimed Dreamworks animated film will be releasing a West End cast recording available on digital and streaming services from Friday the 3rd April. A physical CD will be released later this year.

Released through Ghostlight records, the musical features music by Stephen Schwartz and the album is produced by Dominick Amendum and Stephen Schwartz, with Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer.

The album is set to feature all the songs from the new West End musical including ‘Deliver Us’, ‘Footprints on the Sand’ and the Academy Award winning song ‘When You Believe’.

As well as music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, The Prince of Egypt features a book by Philip LaZebnik (MulanPocahontas), choreography by Sean Cheesman and is directed by Scott Schwartz.

Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever.

The album is set to feature the vocals of all the original West End cast including: Luke Brady (Moses), Liam Tamne (Ramses), Christine Allado (Tzipporah), Alexia Khadime (Miriam), Joe Dixon (Seti), Debbie Kurup (Queen Tuya), Gary Wilmot (Jethro), Mercedesz Csampai (Yocheved), Adam Pearce (Hotep), Tanisha Spring (Nefertari) and Silas Wyatt-Barke (Aaron).

The Prince of Egypt cast recording is set to be released on the 3rd April.
