The 25th Anniversary show of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical has been announced as the next show to stream via The Shows Must Go On.

It has been announced that the next show available to stream through Universal’s Youtube channel The Shows Must Go On will be the 25th anniversary show of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical The Phantom of the Opera. The show was filmed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011.

This recorded show was one of three performances that took place at the venue in October 2011 which was directed for the stage by Laurence Connor and directed for the screen by Nick Morris.

Having opened in the West End in 1986, The Phantom of the Opera follows the story of chorus girl Christine Daaé, who captures the phantom’s attention when she rises to leading lady status. The score by Andrew Lloyd Webber includes ‘Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again’, ‘Music of the Night’ and ‘All I Ask of You’.

This 25th anniversary production at the Royal Albert Hall starred Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom, Sierra Boggess as Christine and Hadley Fraser as Raoul.

Those wishing to watch the production will be able to from 7pm on Friday the 17th April via The Shows Must Go On, where it will be available to watch for twenty four hours.
