NEWS: By Jeeves Announced as Next Show to be Streamed on The Shows Must Go On

This will be the sixth show to stream as part of The Shows Must Go on Series.

It has been announced that the 2001 recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Alan Ayckbourn’s musical based on P.G. Wodehouse’s famous characters will be the next production to be screened as part of The Shows Must Go on Series.

An adventure of the hapless Bertie Wooster (played by John Scherer), a young gentleman about town with a penchant for getting himself into personal difficulties, particularly with women. It is inevitably left to his unflappable manservant Jeeves (played by Martin Jarvis) to provide tify and elegant rescues.Enjoy this outrageous comedy as Jeeves guides Bertie through a series of hapless adventures and improvised chaos. A show that has to be seen to be believed!

Directed by Ayckbourn and Nick Morris, the production will be available to watch from 7pm on Friday 8th May for 48 hours.

This recording stars John Scherer as Bertie Wooster, Martin Jarvis as his Jeeves, Donna Lynne Champlin, Don Stephenson and Emily Loesser.

By Jeeves is the sixth sixth stream in the series, following Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera and its sequel Love Never Dies as well as last week’s stream celebrating Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 50th Brithday celebrations at the Royal Albert Hall.
