For those who are missing the theatre, here’s a guide to some productions you will be able to watch this week…

Random Selfies, Brixton House Theatre (4th June, 3.30pm): as part of its House to House project, the newly named Brixton House Theatre (formerly the Ovalhouse Theatre) delves into its archives to present Mike Kenny’s play. All of the productions that will be released as part of the project have been filmed by LIVR, the 360° virtual reality theatre platform. To find out more click here.

Coriolanus, National Theatre at Home: (4th June, 7pm): next up in the National Theatre’s immensely popular weekly series, is the Donmar Warehouse’s production of Shakespeare’s play starring Tom Hiddleston. The production was filmed as part of its run in 2014, with the cast also including Mark Gatiss, Hadley Fraser and Alfred Enoch. Find out more here.

The Merry Wives of Windsor, Shakespeare’s Globe: (1st June, 7pm): this latest release from the Shakespeare’s Globe is the 2019 production directed by Elle White. This comedy stars Bryony Hannah as Mistress Ford, Sarah Finigan as Mistress Page and Pearce Quigley as Falstaff. Find out more about the production here.

The Cellist, Royal Ballet, Royal Opera House (available now): the latest Royal Ballet production to be streamed is Cathy Marston’s first work for the Royal Opera House Main Stage, telling the story of the cellist Jacqueline du Pré, from her discovery of the cello through her celebrity as one of the most extraordinary players of the instrument to her frustration and struggle with multiple sclerosis. It is available until the 12th June.

A Monster Calls, Old Vic Theatre (5th June, 7pm): if you missed the chance to catch Sally Cookson’s production based on Patrick Ness’ novel then you will not want to miss it when the Old Vic makes the production available online for a limited time.

Peter Pan Live, The Shows Must Go On (5th June 7pm): it has been announced that Universal’s Youtube channel will be streaming a production of Peter Pan, starring Christopher Walken as Captain Hook and available for 48 hours (except in Latin America and Asia due to rights reasons).
