It has been confirmed that Netflix will be adding the musical sequel to its service.
From the 26th June, Netflix has confirmed that people will be able to sing along and escape to Greece when Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again becomes available for UK and Ireland users for the first time.
Released in 2018, ten years after the original Mamma Mia! was released, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again whisks audiences back to the island of Kalokairi to continue the story’s journey of family and friendship to discover how relationships were formed. Featuring the music of Abba, the soundtrack includes ‘Why Did It Have To Be Me?’ , ‘Fernando’ and ‘Andante Andante’.
Produced by Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman, producers of the original film, Cramer is also the creator and producer of the worldwide smash hit stage musical.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was written and directed by Ol Parker, writer of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, based on a story by Catherine Johnson, Richard Curtis and Ol Parker.
The cast for the film includes Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Oscar® winner Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Julie Walters, Dominic Cooper, Amanda Seyfried and Christine Baranski return alongside new additions Lily James, Oscar® winner Cher and Andy Garcia.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be available to watch on Netflix from the 26th June.
