The Old Vic has announced that the next production it will be streaming for free is Joe Penhall’s Mood Music.

As part of its ongoing online project ‘Your Old Vic’, the theatre has confirmed that it will be streaming Joe Penhall’s play for free from 7pm on the 7th July until the 14th July.
Due to the theatre being currently closed, the venue is asking for people to donate if they can to support the theatre’s future.
Having originally run at the Old Vic Theatre in 2018, the play is a story of power, passion and the price of creativity and was directed by Roger Michell.
In a top London recording studio, Cat, a young songwriter, her producer Bernard, their lawyers and psychotherapists go to battle over who owns a hit song. Amidst a gathering storm of bitter complaints and recriminations Cat and Bernard inflict a devastating toll on each other.
The production stars Ben Chaplin, Pip Carter, Kurt Egyiawan, Seána Kerslake, Jemma Redgrave and Neil Stuke.
Meanwhile, the creative team includes: set design by Hildegard Bechtler, costume designer by Dinah Collin, composition by David Arnold, lighting by Rick Fisher, sound by John Leonard and casting by Jessica Ronane.
Mood Music follows on from the previously released A Monster Calls in the Old Vic Theatre’s ‘Your Old Vic’.
Mood Music will stream online from the 7th to the 14th July.
