The Old Vic Theatre has announced details for its third Old Vic: In Camera series.

Casting and details have been announced for the upcoming revival of Brian Friel’s play Faith Healer, which will be performed and streamed live from the Old Vic’s auditorium from the 16th to the 19th September.

The cast for the five performances is set to include Michael Sheen, David Threlfall and Indira Varma.

The Fantastic Francis Hardy (Michael Sheen) travels the most remote corners of Wales, Scotland and Ireland attempting to heal those who wish to be healed. His wife Grace (Indira Varma) and manager Teddy (David Threlfall) complete this nomadic triptych, each with their own telling of the loss, love and struggle of life on the road with a seemingly predestined Faith Healer.

Tickets for the production will go on general sale on Monday 7th September at 10am, while tickets for friends of the Old Vic go on sale tomorrow (3rd September). The tickets are priced at between £10- £40.

Faith Healer originally premiered at the royal Court Theatre in 1981 and starred Patrick Magee, Helen Mirren and Stephen Lewis.

It is the third production in the Old Vic’s In Camera series, following on from Lungs with Claire Foy and Matt Smith and Three Kings with Andrew Scott.

Faith Healer will run from the 16th to the 19th September. For more information and to book tickets visit: https://www.oldvictheatre.com/whats-on/2020/old-vic-in-camera/faith-healer
