New dates and venue have been announced for the West End production of C P Taylor’s play Good, set to star David Tennant as Professor John Halder.

Directed by Dominic Cooke, the play will now be performed at the Harold Pinter Theatre, with previews taking place from the 21st April 2021.

As the world faces its Second World War, John Halder, a decent, intelligent, music-loving German professor, finds himself swept along in a movement that crescendos towards an unthinkable finale. Good is a warning for our times.

The play originally premiered at the Donmar Warehouse in 1981. It was revived in 1999 starring Charles Dance and a film version – created in 2008 – featured Viggo Mortensen, Jason Isaacs and Jodie Whittaker.

As well as David Tennant, the new production is also set to star Fenella Woolgar and Elliot Levey.

The creative team for the production includes designs by Vicki Mortimer, lighting by Paule Constable, sound design by Paul Arditti and musical direction by Nigel Lilley.

Good will run at the Harold Pinter Theatre from the 21st April 2021. Tickets will go on sale on the 12th October.
