The return of the popular series on Youtube will begin with showing the 30th Anniversary touring production of Fame the Musical.
This Friday 25th September, The Shows Must Go On will return to Youtube to present screenings as part of ‘The Greats on Tour’ season. The newly announced season will include: Fame the Musical, Michael Ball: Past and Present Tour Live, Alfie Boe Live- The Bring Him Home Tour and Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of War of the Worlds which due to the ongoing pandemic, the 2021 arena tour was postponed and will now tour from March 2022.
Fame the Musical will be available to watch this Friday from 7.30pm and will be available to watch for 48 hours.
The Shows Must Go On series was created earlier in the year by Universal Pictures Content Group in the wake of theatres being forced to close in line with social distancing guidance. The channel launched 3rd April, with a different theatre show made available to stream each Friday evening for 48 hours. Kicking off with classic Andrew Lloyd Webber productions, millions of theatre fans around the world enjoyed access to legendary shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar and The Phantom of The Opera.
All of the shows will be available to watch for free of charge for 48 hours through The Shows Must Go On Youtube channel.
