The exhibition will celebrate the publication of Simon Annand’s latest book ‘Time To Act’ which will be published on the 30th September.

It has been announced that in celebration of renowned theatre photographer Simon Annand’s latest book ‘Time To Act’ being published, a virtual exhibition featuring some of the images in the book will launch on the 5th October.

The book includes  over 200 remarkable backstage portraits of some of the world’s most beloved stars of stage and screen, as they prepare to perform. Amongst the over 230 images are insightful portraits of Gillian Anderson, Glenn Close, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Sharon D Clark, Paapa Essiedu, Jake Gyllenhaal, Lenny Henry, Anthony Hopkins, Andrew Scott, Josette Simon and Judi Dench. the publishers are making a donation from the sale of every book in the UK to The Theatre Artists Fund.

Simon Annand has been taking photographs backstage at West End theatres in London for 35 years. In these meditative portraits, often shot in the intimate space of the dressing room, he witnesses the focus and tension of world-class actors right before they go on the stage.

The virtual exhibition of Time to Act will be able to view here from the 5th October. The book is set to be published on the 30th September.
