NEWS: Nimax Theatres Closes West End Theatres from 5th November

The theatres will remain closed until the 2nd December when England’s second lockdown comes to an end.

The owners of six West End Theatres have confirmed that in line with the government’s statement on Saturday evening regarding a second lockdown, the venues will be closed from the 5th November.

Each of the locations in the heart of the West End were set to have a programme of shows and one off concerts opening in the following weeks including Six, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie as well as Adam Kay’s solo show This Is Going to Hurt.

In a statement released, Nimax Theatre’s said: “Following the government announcement on Saturday 31st October our theatres will close from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December.We will be in touch with ticket holders for all affected shows in due course. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.”

Among the venues owned by the company are the Apollo, Duchess, Garrick, Lyric, Palace and Vaudeville Theatres.

Details about performances from the 3rd December have yet to be confirmed – depending on the government’s advice.
