NEWS: Old Royal Naval College Announces Christmas Activities

The venue in Greenwich has announced details of its festive activities which will open at the end (subject to government advice) of the second lockdown.

It has been announced that the Old Royal Naval College will feature a wide range of Christmas inspired events including op-up festive theatre performances for children in the beautiful riverside grounds, to a local arts and crafts market and live-streamed and in person carol services.

The crafts and arts market from the 11th to the 13th and 18th to the 20th December (11am-3pm) will feature stalls from local makers for all shopping needs, as well as plenty of places to purchase food and drink .

While browsing the market, visitors will be able to admire the Christmas tree in place in the Upper Grand Square as well as looking at the beautiful Wren architecture illuminated with colourful lights and projections.

It has also been confirmed that on certain days in December, visitors can enjoy Late access into the stunning Painted Hall. Tickets will also include a delicious warming winter meal and a free Christmas present.

For those wanting a sing-along, watch two live-streamed carol services from the comfort of your living room on 1st and 4th December, or celebrate the festive season and end of lockdown in person on the 13th and 14th December at beautiful carol services in the Chapel of St Peter and St Paul.  On 16th December, new choral app Koor will present a classical music concert in the Painted Hall. Their professional vocal ensemble Koor Voices and orchestra Koor Players will perform Beethoven as a result of a seven week workshop on the app.
