The National Theatre production will transfer to the West End October 2021.

Having made its World premiere at the National Theatre last year, Katy Rudd’s production based on Neil Gaiman’s novel will begin performances at the Duke of York’s Theatre in October 2021.

Adapted for the stage by Joel Horwood, the production originally starred  Samuel Blenkin, Jade Croot, Fred Davis, Owain Gwynn, Pippa Nixon, Justin Salinger, Jeffrey Sangalang, Marli Siu, Josie Walker, and Jess Williams. Casting for the West End transfer has yet to be confirmed.

Returning to his childhood home, a man finds himself standing beside the pond of the old Sussex farmhouse where he used to play. He’s transported to his 12th birthday when his friend Lettie claimed it wasn’t a pond, but an ocean… Plunged into a magical world, their survival depends on their ability to reckon with ancient forces that threaten to destroy everything around them.

The creative team for the production includes: set design by Fly Davis, costume and puppet desing by Samuel Wyer, movement direction by Steven Hoggett, composition by Jherek Bischoff, lighting design by Paule Constable, sound design by Ian Dickinson, magic and illusions by Jamie Harrison, and puppetry direction by Finn Caldwell.

The Ocean at the End of the Lane will play at the Duke of York’s Theatre from October 2021. To book tickets click here or visit: Love Theatre.com , From the Box Office, London Theatre Direct.com, Theatre Tickets Direct.co.uk, Encore Tickets or Last Minute.com.
